Your wedding will be one of the most important times in your life so you will naturally want lasting memories of that special day. Of course, there's nothing better for bringing those memories back than a great set of professional photographs for you to enjoy, share and that you'll want to look back on time and time again. It may be regarded by some as the easiest work for a photographer to obtain but a wedding undoubtedly presents one of the most challenging projects he/she can undertake if they are to end up with good results and happy clients. It will stretch their abilities and technique to the limit whilst requiring them to be relaxed, friendly and remain the consumate professional at all times. It is hard but rewarding work and there's no better feeling of achievement when you sit down with the happy couple to show them the photos for the first time and see the delight in their faces.
Style, Themes, Format and Plans

It all begins with a visit to have a chat about the wedding and to discuss the style and type of photos you want and to take a look around the venues if that's possible. Maybe you have a specific theme you want to follow or even some unusual ideas. I'll be open to any suggestions but rest assured that we'll work together to achieve what you want. Location planning is important in finding the best spots to take the photos at the venues - you wouldn't want a romantic scene photographed with scaffolding in the background.

Natural light will be used whenever possible but there will be times when flash is required and, indeed, will produce better results. Obviously though, during the ceremony, a no flash policy is the norm and this will be adhered to.

I use two Nikon DSLRs on the day with a third camera in the car as a backup. Professional level lenses in a focal range from wide-angle to moderate telephoto are used on each camera.

Preferring to be part of the occasion rather than an "add-on service", I will take a relaxed, friendly and casual approach to the proceedings, hoping to make you feel at ease whilst capturing natural poses in an artistic, creative and photojournalistic style along with any specific format and theme you decided upon at a pre-wedding day consultation.

Base Wedding Package starts from £600.00

Rather than offering different set packages, I feel it is better to offer a number of options that can be added to a base package in order to tailor the service to your exact requirements.

A base package will usually include the following;

  • Initial informal consultation, ideally at the venue location to discuss the general style and type of photos you want:  Planning the wedding shoot is the first and one of the most important tasks to undertake. At an informal meeting, ideally at the wedding location, we'll get a chance to discuss exactly what you want by running through a plan sheet collecting information about the type of photos, locations and all the little details that will help the day's shoot run smoothly.
  • Full overage of Bridal Preparation, Ceremony & Reception:  From the bride’s preparations through to the end of the reception at an agreed time. All the main parts of the wedding will be captured. Please note, however, that the amount of coverage of the ceremony will be dependent on consent from the vicar/registrar.
  • A quality USB Memory Stick containing all the final edited photos: All photos taken on the day (normally around 300) will be copied onto a quality, engraved USB stick and will be yours to keep. They will be full-sized, high resolution JPEGs.
  • Access to a private online web gallery: The final selection of photos, in low resolution and watermarked, will be available for you to access, download and share from a private gallery on my website for three months from their completion.

Options include;

  • Various extensions to the wedding coverage such as Evening Party, pre-wedding shoots, etc:  A pre-wedding shoot is a popular option to get a collection of photos of the kind that may not be possible on the day of the ceremony.  Price is dependent on requirements but is normally based on an hourly rate of £40.00 plus travel expenses.
  • Interactive e-Book/Flash Wedding Album: An electronic Wedding Album can be created with flippable pages included with your photos on the USB Memory Stick. Price for an album of 30 photos - £25.00
  • Digital Enhancement of selected images: Various effects can be added to the photos such as Black & White conversion, Soft Focus, Polaroid Print, etc. Price - £3 per single image. £20 for 10 images.
  • High Quality Prints at various sizes or other products can be purchased directly from the website.

Pricing generally reflects how much of my time is invested in your day, post processing of the images, the high quality products used and other services called upon. A 10% deposit will be required to secure your booking and have the date(s) reserved. The remaining balance must then be paid no later than a month before the wedding date. Prices are fixed once you have paid the deposit.

Your images should be ready for viewing within 2 weeks of the wedding (earlier if possible). A preview session will then be arranged for you to decide on the final selection and how you would like them presented.
